The Rt Rev Tom Wright, the Bishop of Durham, has revealed that there is deep unease over the future of the communion and an atmosphere of mutual suspicion among bishops…

He blames Americans for their problems.

Well, the U.S. Episcpal Church by far is one of the most liberal sects of the Anglican Communion. Openly homosexual bishop who lives a blatantly gay lifestyle, a women presiding bishop who’s vestments look like they belong in a bad grade school play, and so on.

I hate to sound cynical towards the Episcopal Church, but have you noticed that ever since they decided to ordain women in the 70’s the Church has been spiraling downwards since then? And same with the Church of England when they decided to ordain women in the 90’s.

“we want women priests! the church is sexist!”

well, feminists and pro-women ordination protestors, you got your women priests and women bishops; in exchange for destroying the Anglican communion and faith altogether.

I’ve been sounding cynical towards the Episcopal Church since around 1968. Go right ahead, as far as I’m concerned.

See The Rev’d Dr Peter Toon posted by David Mills on Touchstone today. He traces ***The Lambeth Conference of 1930: ****Its continuing influence on the Morals and Behavior of Anglicans *******as the source of Anglican woes.
