I have a couple of questions. What about ex-Anglicans who became Catholic before the ordinariate? Can they join the ordinariate?
Are members of the ordinariate under the jurisdiction of the Latin bishop? Or just under their ordinary?
- This thread is from last year.
- Yes, former Anglicans who becme Catholic before the ordinariate (this includes myself) can join, according to the terms of *Anglicanorum Coetibus. *I personally take a great interest in the ordinariate, but will not be joining, as I have been Catholic for decades and am part of an FSSP parish where the Extraordinary Form of the Mass is celebrated exclusively.
- The ordinariate will work harmoniously with the local bishop, but canonically members are subject to the Ordinary.
