I have read of 6 Anglican use parishes on Texas and was wondering if there were other Episcopal/Anglican waiting in the wings to join?

Theres a group in Ft. Worth called the community of St. Peter the rock.
 
Today at the USCCB conference, a good deal of time was spent discussing the situation of the new Anglican Ordinariate and its relation to the current Pastoral Provision. As well, they discussed many questions of practical reality in the implementation. I believe a video of this may be found on the USCCB website and they are showing it on EWTN.

For some reason, I am fascinated by this process. For obvious reasons, I am thrilled at the idea of our Anglican brothers and sisters coming into communion with the Church, but there seems to be more than that though it is hard to put my finger on it.
 
It is official. Anglican Ordinariate for United States will be erected on 1st January 2012. The Ordinary will be announced at that time.

This Mass is actually not an Anglican Use Mass. It was celebrated in England, where many former Anglicans have been using the Roman Rite liturgy for years.

Rome is working on an Anglican Use liturgy for the Ordinariate/Ordinariates at this time. There might be more than one at this point.

There have always been several different liturgies within the Anglican Communion.

If you want to see an actual Anglican Use Mass that was approved by Rome over 28 years ago, go to Our Lady of the Atonement Catholic Church, San Antonio TX, it has a video on the web.

They use the Book of Divine Worship, which will also be revised, hopefully using one of the Anglican Missals. The Canon used is the Gregorian Canon used in the EF liturgy.

All this will take time, however, it is well be worth the wait if the outcome is closer to what I experienced in my former Anglo Catholic parish. Prayers at the foot of the altar, the Last Gospel and all the beautiful Anglican prayers that are used in the BDW.

I have been following the ordinariate news very carefully, and if an ordinariate parish were to appear anywhere near me, I would certainly look and possibly join the Catholic Church.

I live in the SF Bay Area, which is not a hotbed of Anglo-Catholicism. I have attempted to contact Roman Catholic church authorities to almost no avail. I was in contact with another Anglican and I wrote to the pastor of one parish asking if we and perhaps others could meet there as an ordinariate interest group. I sent two e-mails, but he never responded.

I wonder if there is any enthusiasm here for Anglicans joining the Catholic Church. There will be groups in certain parts of the US and not in others. There are several potential parishes in southern California and one near Reno NV.

Anglican Use clergy are probably up to their eyeballs in work these days. I have communicated with one priest, but he recognized the geographical reality as well as I do. I will keep in touch with him. A squeaky wheel sometimes gets the grease.

I hope that something works out for you. However, if you are finding yourself truly desiring to join the Catholic Church, perhaps the lack of an Anglican use parish near you should not be a barrier. I recognize that the liturgy would be different but at least you would be within the Church in the hopes that an Anglican use or ordinariate would become available closer to you.
