Anglicans and the Martyrs of Uganda

This will be a short thread. But I was just thinking about how the Anglican Bishops of Uganda have been stepping up to the plate, and standing firm for the moral principles of the Christian faith, and stepping out to protect Episcopal congregatons that will not capitulate to the PC agenda of the ECUSA . . .

and how one reason the Martyrs of Uganda were executed was for rejecting the homosexual advances of the king . . .

and of how both Catholic and Anglican men were immolated in the pyre . . .

and how we might all ask for the intercession of the Ugandan Martyrs in bringing Anglicans into Communion with the Catholic Church.

Wow, I must be really out of it… can you post a link to the story?
 
I just read about them today. I was intrigued when I came across the names in the Liturgy of the Hours and googled the story.

It is a HORRIBLE story, isn’t it? Some of these guys were 15 years old. One of them was baptized at the site of the martyrdom – as if being burnt alive wouldn’t have been a baptism of blood and a sure ticket to Heaven!

Did you notice in the LOH Office of Readings that Pope Paul VI acknowledged the Anglicans who also died in that purge?
