We should now get an SSPX XI together and organize a “rebel tour” (those who remember 80s cricket history will get the allusion.) 😃

:rotfl:

Are rebel tours so long ago that it can’t be taken for granted that everyone knows what you’re talking about? 😦

In this age of 20/20 -]silliness/-] “cricket” (forgive me, I’m a relative old fogey who still thinks the 80s were a golden age of sorts. Think of me as a Traditionalist about such things. :D) I think we can assume memories are fairly short. :o

I’m thinking you’re typing that tongue in cheek, but I reckon there might be something to what you’re posting.
If you say that you don’t go chasing after Protestant-intolerant posts from Catholic posters, then I will believe you. That just isn’t my general experience with Protestant posters.

To be fair, I’m sure you can find the same phenomenon, in reverse, on Protestant forums.

I really don’t.:o I hate it when somebody just sails in randomly and disrupts a perfectly civil conversation by saying rude and hateful things and then I feel like I need to not only stand up for myself, but for those who share my beliefs.

On Protestant forums, I don’t really find a lot of Catholic posters, regrettably 😦 and the people who show up combative and ready to take on the Protestant world tend to find themselves banned. There are those who seem eager to slap a Protestant face and there ( again, regrettably) are those who are just as eager to knock a Catholic block off.

My pattern seems to be reaction. I don’t hunt for them, but when they randomly appear, my dander gets up and I want to strike back. Something else to think about for Confession and Absolution this month…

I think “hateful things” is an exaggeration. In my experience it’s just the basic “traditionalist Catholic” stuff. Usually.

No, not so much. Hateful things is pretty apt upon many occasions. I would prefer civility, myself.
