Does anyone know of a Ukrainian Catholic Pew Book that has the texts for the Divine Liturgy in Ukrainian but uses the Roman instead of Cyrllic alphabet? Thanks!!

Sadly the only thing we have Anglicized is the hymnal. Not sure if anything is out there that is Anglicized Cyrillic especially that many UGCC parishes in the diaspora now says at least a bilingual Divine Liturgy.

We have one in Ukrainian and one in English but I was hoping to be able to partcipate more on the big Feast Days that are supposed to be bilingual but are about 95% Ukrainian.

Well, I think I have Anglicized versions of some of the usual prayer in The Anthology.

Thanks but apparently this issue was also raised over at ByzCath and somebody there has exactly what I am looking for so I am trying to get a hold of that person now.

Something other than the Anthology?
Yes. Unfortunately the Anthology has fallen into disuse in our parish. Nobody really wanted it and they wanted to stick to the old hymn books. We have a separate blue hymnbook larger than the Anthology that is purely hymns. The music sets have the lyrics in Cyrillic, then at the bottom is the Anglicized version, then on the opposite page is the English translation.

I forgot what its called. I’m going to a different parish for the summer which doesn’t use this book so I won’t be able to look it up this Sunday.

The Anthology was blessed by Patriarch +Lubomyr for use in all English-language celebrations. I just started using it in our parishes probably three years ago, and now even some of the parishoners have purchased them. You are probably referring to hymnals put together by either Joe Roll or Fr. John Sianchuk.

It’s hardbound and blue, the same as the Anthology. Only bigger.

I’m glad you are using the Anthology. I find the tones for the usual hymns much better, and I love the variety. Sadly most people in our parish are against it. They just want to sing the same usual way each and every Sunday.
