Anglo Catholic Article Discussing Issue with B16

This is an Anglo Catholic site that looks forward to the creation of the ordinariates. It discusses the facts surrounding the issue with B16 and where the media got it wrong and misrepresents what B16 did in regard to the priest.

Title is “A Letter to the NY Times”

Not long and worth the read. It makes one think about how using just a few different words can make it appear that the Pope did something different than he in fact did. According to the article, none of it had to do with leaving a pederast priest in contact with children,

No doubt the Pope did not handle the case well but I wonder how much of the media frenzy is driven by a desire to take down a conservative Pope.
 
Do you plan on taking advantage of the ordinariates, Rev? Are you planning on becoming Catholic?

Not at the moment. It is not that the thought has not occured to me but I believe that I would need to be able to give full assent to all of Roman Catholic (excuse the term) doctrine as expressed in the Catechism. Integrity would demand that until I am able to do that, I should not attempt to become part of the ordinariate (when such an entity comes into existence).

I am always prayerful and seeking God’s will and leading so I will not rule it out.
