It’s very hard being in the world, not of it, and try to love with Christ’s love
It is so hard, but by his grace we can do it.
I never cry when I pray, but I did today, as I feel so bad for my children walking in blindness. I failed them, though I did my best. But I trust in God’s grace and mercy. The story is not over yet.
When I see evil in the world, my only recourse is to repent, because that same evil runs through my heart as well. Indifference to abortion, hate for those who disagree with me, pride and wanting my own way – society’s failings are my own, writ large.

Thanks for this chance to vent . Praying for you, OP, as well.

LOL! Awwww, the cute puppies! Certainly put a smile on my face. 🙂

Thanks, St. Felicity, for posting and for saying it so well. I’m right there with you all the way, but I think you covered it better than I could have.

I think the thing about the Covington teens really brought a lot of these problems to light. Even after it was proven that the kids did nothing wrong and that the Native American is a habitual marcher and trouble maker, there were many who didn’t want to hear that message, so they went along with the first message, which was that the kids were provocateurs. If it doesn’t fit with what you want to report, then report lies. You hate to think that people are reading that swill and believing it.

Yes, I’m very disheartened at what is happening in our country today. I think we have to concentrate on our little part of the world and making it the best we can. The rest is out of our hands. But we can pray for our country.

Thanks to your post, I recognize me, and it’s a relieve!

I have spent my 20’s to be angry against the deliquecence of our society, and the falling of all others near me…

It is hard, because it kill ourselves, slowly, but surely. And isolated from others you have repudiated…

So, I engage myself in public battle/prolife causes, to try to change something. Not in the first line, but hidden.
I focuse myself on my children and family. Becoming a mother changes me, and I am more relax about others and the society.
And I stop to look to the news. it is not the best things, because who is informed has the power to made the more enlight choices (for eg in vote) but it preserves my peace of mind.

I agree with others who call your anger a righteous anger.

First of all recognize that anger at obvious evils and injustice is a good sign. Why?

Because at least you know right from wrong and have a functioning conscience. Too many in society live their life thinking that the idea of right and wrong is a matter of popular opinion.

Next, persevere in your faith and in doing good works, both corporal and spiritual.

Last time of all pray. I suggest the Prayer of Divine Mercy and the Rosary.
