First let me say that I personally agree. I received government sex-ed in 4th grade and from that point on the clock was ticking. I just absolutely didn’t need to know it that soon. The sad fact is though that there were kids in my school who’s home lives were such that they did need it to keep from becoming infected or parents before they were even teenagers.

What is your opinion on the statistics regarding sex education, teen pregnancy, and STI rates? (i.e. that areas with abstinence only sex-ed are winning big time in the above categories) Is the only way to offer help to the children of non-Christians to evangelize?

I don’t mean to say that Christians should support contraception, but should we actively try to keep non-Christians from the knowledge of contraception?

Personally I have been surprised how receptive people are to the ideas of some kind of sexual chastity, marriage, or monogamy when described in pragmatic and materialistic terms. While I hate to exclude Christ from a conversation, sometimes it seems to be the best strategy for everyone involved. Sometimes speaking Christ’s words doesn’t need to involve speaking Christ’s name.
