On topic with anime: iTunes finally has the 3 idolm@ster (idolmaster) games in English: IdolMaster Shiny Festa. They’re 3GB each, and $55 each!!! but yeah I went and bought 2 of them. I had to play for Iori Minase. And I’m actually Game Centre no 15 for one of her songs… the game is incredibly difficult… >_<
but I’m hanging in there for tsundere princess Iori-sama. (Note it’s Iori-sama, as she is upper class, and Iori-chan will not do.)

And yes just because she held “The Producer’s” shirt on the sunset beach and blushed, doesn’t mean she likes him or anything.

For those interested in the idolmaster games, these are incredibly family friendly games but very frustrating and expensive. I’m an anime nut so I do stupid things like spend $110 on 2 iPad games, but they’ll probably have a promo sooner or later.

The games include about 30 min each of anime and 20 tracks to try to sync. There are 4 settings and some of them are very difficult. Each track has two versions, and you can play them back later. Playing them back in Music Video mode also earns you fans.

Funny thing is that manga master Kentaro Miura, the creator of Berserk is a huge idolmaser fan, so much so that it’s a running joke amongst fans:

Whats your favorite anime Tenofovir? Mine is Rurouni Kenshin.

Makoto and Yukiho are teh bestest Idols. This is indisputable.

Just started watching a bunch of random eps today from Yu-Gi-Oh! and Monster Rancher! Didn’t know that Hulu had 'em! That’s just awesome! I used to be such an avid fan of Monster Rancher in the late 90s and early 2000s (loved the Monster Rancher video games as well)! 😃 Did anyone else used to watch this show?

I used to watch Monster Rancher, and I recently watched the first episode on Hulu. It was cute. I may end up watching more, but I don’t know. I’ve been watching plenty of other stuff.

By today’s standards, I’d say Monster Rancher is prolly pretty average, but having grown up watching it through high school, it get’s extra bonus points for me! 😃 I think it’s really more-so for kids though, kinda like Digimon which I think came out close to the same time as Monster Rancher in 1999. I used to wake up Saturday mornings looking forward to these shows (as well as Pokemon, Batman Beyond, Yu-gi-oh, lol)! My Saturdays were packed, lol!

Woah there! Digimon is mature serious business! 😛

Especially Tamers. Digimon Tamers is excellent. 😃 Sadly, I didn’t learn about it until high school, but that doesn’t make it any less cool! :o

Haha, yeah, Digimon was a fun show to watch! Sadly, I only watched Digimon Adventure 1 and 2 (they had originally aired from 1999-2001 I think). After Adventure 2 finished, I didn’t really follow the Digimon franchise afterwards, especially since I think the next Digimon installments were kind of like spin-offs to the Adventure series, and I wasn’t really interested in following another story arc that didn’t feature any of the original gang that I grew to love. :o The way I saw it back then was that if the old gang wasn’t there anymore, then I’m not gonna be there anymore to watch. :o I guess that’s what happens when u watch a show religiously for a couple years and now all the characters that u grew to love are finally gone… and replaced. 😦 Back then, I was pretty saddened by that, lol.

I can see that happening. I was never attatched to the original show very much, so I warmed up to the tamers crew pretty quickly. 🙂

I used to watch Monster Rancher Sunday mornings before church back when I was younger (and attending the Methodist church). Good show. I’ll have to watch it again sometime. It’s gotten relicensed here in the US. An important part of my childhood.

Has anybody here seen Durarara!! ?

Because I’m watching it, and it’s awesome.

I’ve seen the anime and read the first four volumes of the manga. I started watching the anime without knowing much of anything about the story, but I got attached to it pretty quickly. The show has a pretty impressive cast of characters, and the plot is like a jigsaw puzzle.

It’s like Baccano!, but less anachonistic and set in modern-day Japan! 😃

Probably because they’re by the same guy. 🙂

The whole thing is on Crunchyroll. Success. :D:D:D

… What anime are we talking about? That “Idolmaster” one? :ehh:

I’ve never heard of it outside this thread, what is it even about?
The surprise emoticon is related to the pairing of characters from Idolm@ster.

The question, is about this season’s series. I was asking if someone here is watching series from this season.

Yeah, I think there were a few of us who were talking about them a few pages back in this thread.

But as of now, I’ve still got too many shows (8) I’m watching. I’ve only managed to just drop 1 show (Majestic Prince) since all of them seem pretty good, despite some slow starts by some of them (Date A Live & Maou-Sama for me). My favorites (or maybe most anticipated show every week for me) for this season are easily Gargantia, Attack on Titan, & Chihayafuru. I actually almost dropped the Severing Crime Edge but the 6th ep was just so great (and beautiful), that I think I’m gonna stick with it. I don’t know how they will be able to match the emotion and drama of that ep again till maybe the last ep of the series. I’m also liking Oreimo 2 a lot; CR actually just live streamed eps 5 & 6 of Oreimo 2 yesterday. It’s a new thing that they are doing every Thursday @ 10pm EDT (though I think they said they can’t do it next Thursday since the hosts - Sailor Bee and Dani - will be at an anime con or something). It’s pretty cool since u can watch it with so many other anime fans and live-chat at the same time - and the text flies by on screen; it’s pretty neat! The crazy thing is, u end up with so many people talking at the same time, lol, that it gets pretty wild sometimes. 😃 Here’s the direct link to their live show if anyone’s interested: crunchyroll.com/live I guess they are currently live-streaming (as of my post) the Anime Central Con going on this weekend. 🙂

I am keeping up with Hataraku Maousama (favorite of the season), My Teenage Love Comedy is Wrong as I Expected. Date a Live (which is surprisingly decent), OreImo (mostly for Kuroneko and Ayase), and Henneko. I was following Crime Edge, but I’ve slacked off on it. Haven’t dropped it, though.

Railgun has a good OP and ED, but not a big fan of the show. Index (the show it’s spun off from) is pretty good if you’re willing to accept that the Japanese like to use Christian symbols and aesthetics without fully grasping their meanings.

Of course, I’ve become a big fan of Index’s VA Yuka Iguchi in recent weeks. She’s got a great singing voice and fairly impressive range. Definitely not what I was expecting. Like this.
