Don’t know it “counts,” but lately have been getting into Miku Hatsune and the other Vocaloid stuff. It’s a bit “different” and weird to most people’s sensibilities concerning entertainment, but hey, it’s fun stuff.

Man, France (& some of the rest of Europe, probably) sure does get a lot of cool manga/light novel series that America doesn’t. I might actually start importing if I get some money, especially for stuff like this:

Well obviously.
But… Yeah, if it’s gonna get bloody, it pretty much needs to change almost as fast as Higurashi does. I don’t really know how it can do that and appear to be anything other than ridiculous.
Have you seen Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni? Or at least the beginning? (I never finished it cuz of legality issues >.>)

Hi everyone! I’m a relatively new member to the forums but have loved anime for a long time! I also love to draw fan art, love seiyuu, and have been learning Japanese for several years. I like to pay attention to content ratings on ANN or MAL, but alas I’ve been tricked many times and have seen anime with content not to my liking. (´-ω-｀; ) But I’ve been enjoying skimming through what you guys are watching and am seeing some great recommendations!
This season’s anime I’m currently I’m watching: Shingeki no Kyojin (I love this show so much), Kakumeiki Valvrave, Uta no Prince-sama 2, and Red Data Girl. (Forgot to mention I’m also currently obsessed with Kuroko no Basuke and Kamisama Hajimemashita.)
I typically like shounen, some shoujo, comedy, fantasy, and slice-of-life anime, so any recommendations you can send my way I’d greatly appreciate! Since it’s summer, I’d like to start a couple series I’ve never seen before, but I’m currently in a bind as to what to watch next. Here’s MyAnimeList!

I’m reading the manga for Kamisama Hajimemashita. Like most shojo, it’s really melodramatic, but it’s also cute.
Hmm… Not sure I can recommend anything new, as I don’t watch stuff until it’s been out for a year or so. I like to see which ones continue to get praise and select based on that. I don’t see Ouran High School Host Club on your list, though. If you like romantic comedies, I’d recommend that one.
Which shonen series are your favorites? Mine are Soul Eater and Fullmetal Alchemist (both versions), but I like Inuyasha and Naruto, too. Haven’t managed to finish them yet, but it’s their fault for being so long!
I’ve got a ton of stuff to finish still, but it looks like Madoka Magica is gonna suck me in as soon as I finish finals this week. >.>

So I finished Madoka Magica.
~SPOILERS!!! GO WATCH IT!!!~
I can’t believe anyone would describe it as “sadistic”. I teared up a few times, yes, but that was not sadism. That was brilliance.
I’m going to need a bit of time to sort through all of my feelings about it, but it’s definitely one of the most inspiring animes I’ve seen in a while- maybe the most inspiring since Princess Tutu, or at least since I finished Soul Eater last summer. Madoka Magica was beautiful. Absolutely, positively beautiful, a brilliantly plotted tragedy.
That was awesome!
Man, I’m so happy right now… I figured I would need something light and cheery after it ended, but nope, that was incredible and not really sad at all in the end. I might need something with a little less raw emotion, but other than that, I’m good.

I really enjoy anime. I even went to the biggest anime con on the coast just a few weeks ago! I cosplayed and everything.:yup:
I think my favorite anime would have to Mirai Nikki (in English ‘Future Diaries’), Cowboy Bebop, Deadman Wonderland, and Ouran Highschool Host Club. For movies I think my favorites would be Spirited Away, Summer Wars, and Wolf Children Ame and Yuki (If you haven’t watched this one I advise you do, it’s really touching).

Hard to say, depends on where Hyouka ends up.

When you decide to watch it you can watch Cowboy Bebop on animefreak.tv (it’s free!).Nice! Some of those I have seen, and some of them I’m still waiting on. I really liked Ouran!

When I watch anime I rotate between intense (Mirai Nikki, holy cheez-it’s it was dark) and light and fun (Ouran, or Fooly Cooly.) It’s helps keep my mind even (if that makes any sense at all)
