My wife and I had been trying for a baby for well over a year. We went through the usual battery of tests on both of us before she was placed on Chlomid by her doctor.
Unfortunately, blood tests confirmed that her hormone levels weren’t high enough after the first couple of rounds of Chlomid.
My wife and I sought out our priest right after Mass. He was busy, as one might imagine, with only 20 min until he needed to officiate at the next Mass. He immediately sent our junior priest for his oil and anointed my wife right then and there.
It was an amazing experience, and my wife felt very relieved.
But not so relieved as when she got her blood work a couple of weeks later and found her levels had jumped 153 times, nor as relieved as when she awakened me last week waving the results of her pregnancy test.
Thank God for His mercy, for His sacraments, for His priests, and for His Church—we certainly do!
