My husband is in the hospital and going to have bypass surgery probably Friday. It’s a non Catholic hospital and when I called the chaplains office I got a recording by a women identifying herself as reverend.
How do I schedule anointing of the sick for him, and get him on the list to receive the Eucharist daily. I’m used to Catholic hospitals where there is a resident priest and the nurses can put you on the list to recieve.
Should I just call my parish office in the morning? Is there some diocesan wide schedule for priests to visit hospitals? We were received into the Church last year and when he was hospitalized before it was in a Catholic hospital ( in another state).
I feel so confused.
