I’m very bad at using technology so please excuse if I have posted in the wrong place. I would love any prayers for my mental health. I am suffering from Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Separation Anxiety, OCD, Depression, Trichotillomania, Dermatillomania, Insomnia and Anorexia. I recently was hospitalised twice for suicidal ideation, plan and intent, but am glad to say that I am no longer suicidal. I’d like to thank everyone who was praying for my suicidality, because it worked! Of course I still battle with fleeting suicidal thoughts, but am struggling with the fact that I am Anorexic and scrupulous. I feel as though I am sinning gravely because I deal with this horrendous illness.

I’m mentally ill as well. I have psychosis and depression. I’ve been hospitalized a few times, too (because of intense suicidal thoughts and desires). I’m sure that God still loves you, though. He loves all of His children; both the sick ones and the healthy ones. God has healed me of social anxiety and I’m confident that He will do the same for you. Make sure you’re active in prayer.

Moreover, try to develop mental images that overpower those dark thoughts. Think about something that’s wholesome and powerful (preferably something from the Bible). One of the scenes that often stirs my soul is Isaiah chapter 6. Go there and pray for God to help you develop images of it. Next time you’ve got dark thoughts, set your mind on Christ high and lifted up as the room fills with smoke and the doorposts shake. Isaiah must have been terrified.

I can’t promise that God will completely heal you, but what I do know is that He will give you a sufficient amount of grace to make you into a warrior. Don’t worry about how you’ll make it in a month from now, a week from now, or even a day from now. Just focus on getting through today. Tomorrow belongs to God; He’ll figure out a way for you. Just walk with Christ and He’ll give you a sufficient amount of grace. He has done it for me and continues to do it. He’ll do the same for you. I pray that God heals you of your issues. Amen.

the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into CatholicCatLover’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
