I have just purchased an audio NT (NIV) and listening to Acts15:11-12 it states as shown below
Which suggests the assembly became silent because of Paul and Barnabas. If however I look into NASB or RSV the assembly is silent due to Peter. Which is correct? and why?11No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are." 12The whole assembly became silent as they listened to Barnabas and Paul telling about the miraculous signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them
From NASB
I leave this to the more scholarly to debate, and please do not go off topic discussing general proofs for the Papacy as that is not the intention of this thread.11"But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they also are." 12All the people kept silent, and they were listening to Barnabas and Paul as they were relating what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles.
Thanks in advance
Alex
