Another Baptism question with Catholic

I did a search on this site and found many old posts, but didn’t get clear answer.
I’m a cradle catholic, now 65 yrs old. I stopped going to church back in the 60’s. I found my way back 4 yrs ago, got my marriage blessed by the church and now enjoy the sacraments in a way I never knew.
I also attend a men’s bible study, where 80% of our group are non Catholics. They believe it couldn’t hurt for me to get baptized as an adult.
My understanding is that my infancy baptism in 1953 is all I need.
Is this correct?
 
Yes. There is no need to be re-baptized. In fact, a priest should refuse the request if you admit that you were baptized as a child in the Catholic church.
 
One Lord, one Faith, one Baptism, one God and Father of all.
 
What everyone has said is perfect. Keep in mind, that non-Catholics do not enjoy the gift of Confession. They don’t believe their past sins are forgiven unless they get bap tied AGAIN, and then it covers you fro the rest of your life.
Not so for Catholics.
We believe that when we fail, we confess again and express remorse.
We’re not “once and done”.
We know we fall, and get absolved to ensure a return to grace.

Some people see re-baptism as a way of committing to their faith as an adult. It might be nice if we had some sort of ritual to go with that, but ritual or not, we commit ourselves to our faith every single day in how we live and what we believe. Being baptized again will merely get you wet. But committing yourself to being the best disciple you can be will change your life.

Yes, but some would argue that going to Confession after a long absence would satisfy this need.

That’s the problem with attending non-Catholic bible studies. They do not understand the truths of the faith.

It’s not possible for you to be baptized as an adult. You are already baptized. You can only be baptized once.

Yes.
 
As people have said before, Yes you only need to be baptized one if it’s a valid. Please be aware that people use this to get you to go to their church. So stay strong to your faith.
 
Of course confession is important. And even better if it’s a regular part of one’s life.
 
We are reminded of your baptism every single time we make the sign of the cross, when we enter the church and make the sign of the cross with holy water, when we are sprinkled with holy water at the beginning of Mass instead of Kyrie and also during the Easter Vigil when we renew our baptismal promises. As Catholics we live baptism every day. When we are baptised we become part of the Body of Christ and that can’t be “undone or done again”.

Edit: We also renew our baptismal promises when we receive our First Holy Communion and the Sacrament of Confirmation.
