(my other question that I also need answered is forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=218514)
  • Is it possible to receive confession via an online interface (as in, headphone + microphone and speak, or something like IMing etc…)
  • the questions in this topic [forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=218514]](http://forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=218514]) as I asked above…
  • What if someone steals something but doesn’t know who they stole it from and can’t give it back?
  • Is borrowing without asking stealing?
  • Is there any sin that can be “forgiven” without a priest? (as in, asking God/Jesus for forgiveness of the sin directly through prayers and fasting/reading bible/etc)
…ugh that’s all I can think of right now, I’ll post in this topic more when I have more questions…

and please answer these quickly >.> please >.>…

no you must confess your sins in person to a priest and receive absolution to have assurance of forgiveness.

Is it possible that Jesus may choose to forgive a sincerely repentent sinner outside sacramental confession? of course, he gave us the sacraments he is not bound by them, but the sacraments are the ordinary means through which his grace is mediated.

depends on what you mean by borrowing. if you mean, “my sister and I usually share clothes anyhow, so she won’t mind if I wear her sweater, and I intend to put it back clean and in good condition”, no it is not a sin. If you mean, “whatever I see I take, no matter who it belongs to, and I will use the ‘borrowing’ excuse if I get caught”, yes it probably is a sin.

eh mmmk I was just wondering about that~…

I don’t understand your other questions. we generally ask one question per post, and we generally ask the question on the proper forum, in this case, probably the sacraments forum since most of your questions seem to be about confession.

._. I tend to not have a forum cluttered with my posts.

and some of the questions aren’t, as I’m trying to remember some other of my questions…and they aren’t just about confession and stuff >.>

Venial (minor) sins don’t need to be confessed to a priest at all, but grave or mortal sins do need to be confessed, and confession must be done in person and not via electronic means of communication.

.. and NOW I finally find that venial sins don’t need to be confessed and done by self by own forms of repenting and things --’…

Some more Questions
  • is it ok to fansub anime for other people ._. as I am doing that, semi illegal, but trying to help the community in knowing about certain anime, etc. (though of course the licensing companies tolerate us >.> most of the time so I guess in that case it might be ok…but eh)…
I’ll put more later (though trying to avoid double posting…)

EDIT: if any moderator comes or admin comes, um…can you please delete that other topic with that question…I’m just going to ask it here

I’m just wondering, as I somehow found these two articles:
(both are online books of this author named “Mary K Baxter”…)
what I’m wondering is…are these approved by the Catholic church to believe in the content in these books…as I can’t tell if it is or not…

sorry I can’t help, with a couple of your questions I am not sure what you are asking.

Another question… >.>
  • What is the Catholic Church’s Position on “White lies”?

I am seeing some extremely detailed questions here but no larger context.

faqcorner, what is the point you are trying to get at?
