Matt Slick has debated Catholics a few times. I bet they’re worth watching. He isn’t the most charitable debater out there…

Capta(name removed by moderator)rudeman:
A stickied post on the RC discussion subforum calls the Church apostate. It’s really telling how little regard they have for Catholicism.
I haven’t looked to see if they are this odd with other non-Catholics or if they just target Catholics. I also checked out a few YouTube videos of Matt Slick. He is so arrogant.
If they target Catholics, and you are a Christian, then they target you too. ALL Christians should be evangelizing them.

Peace!!!

Yep, they pulled my post but not before someone nice, or pretending to be nice responded. Don’t know if I’m banned or not, I didn’t check it out. He said he’s a former pastor and could talk in a private discussion with me. I’m not really comfortable with that but if he’s on the up and up I’m grateful.

I get the feeling that my answers will not matter. I’m gonna stop wasting my time there with people totally absorbed by their hatred.

If people could reject Jesus’ teachings right to His face, people can reject those same teachings across the internet in anonymity.

Yeah, I stopped too, at least for now. Talking to them is pointless, they don’t want a discussion.

That’s a good idea. When I was there for a short time, I noticed how depressed I was becoming. The only good thing is I learned to be nicer to people here.

Some Evangelicals say that Mary is the mother of the human part of Jesus. Little do they know that those who propose this view fall into the error that is Nestorianism.

Other Evangelicals also say that Mary is just an incubator. One actually said that to me. My thought was, great say that to her with Jesus standing right next to her.

A lot of Evangelicals revere motherhood but when it comes to Mary herself they are indifferent even bordering on contempt.

I wonder why.

I know a few Anglicans and Lutherans who did not get a good treatment there because they said that doctrine of Sola Scriptura was indefensible, a house of cards. It cannot stand up to honest scrutiny.
