I just heard this on the radio:

Just at the beginning of this week Holy Name Catherdral was on fire but they didn’t know if it was arson.

What’s going on in Chicago?

The conclusion is in this case arson due to the graffiti that was taped to the front doors. Apparently an accused priest that fomerly served there but had no incidents of pedophilia while at this church may have some relevance to the case. More reasons to pray.

I didn’t hear anything else about it (I’m downstate, sometimes we hear headlines but no follow up).

Days before a fire tore through the roof of Holy Name Cathedral repair work was done on a de-icing system that prevented the build-up of ice along the gutters.

Now, investigators are focusing on the de-icing system—an electrical cable running along the roofline—and the repair work done on it within the last few days.
