Another Catholic college defting the Church with a pro-choice speaker who criticizes the Pope regarding charity, even. I hope we hear from the bishop

How sad. And here in Seattle we have the Washington State Catholic Conference inviting our pro-choice governor to give a keynote address for one of their big events. Our Archbishop is the head of that organization! The only thing I can conclude from this is that they (the catholic heirarchy in our achdiocese) don’t really, truly care about the issue of abortion. They just give lip service to it. Why don’t they care? Because they’re all a bunch of liberal Democrats:mad: . Probably no different from your university.

the LifeNews article:
Cabrini College, a Catholic educational institute, is drawing guffaws from pro-life advocates upset that it recently bestowed an award on pro-abortion journalist Cokie Roberts.
If these pro-life advocates are upset, why are they laughing?

One said it wouldn’t effect anything.
Still, we’d hear something from them. Actually, if it’s a Catholic school and it’s in their diocese, they ought to be able to cause the school’s administration a lot of grief, I’d think. I think suing would be good if it’s an independently owned school. They had to pay big in the sex abuse scandal. It may seem like an ulterior motive, but the Church should have a case, being the leaders of the Church of which the school allegedly is.

Otherwise, you get scandal–the scandal the masses never hear about, which is that of impressionable Catholic youth not getting taught their faith or being taught or exposed to that which is diametrically opposed to its teachings (of course, it’s a worse scandal when Catholic parents treat the Faith as something you deal with at school or Sunday Mass and the rest is other work, ball games, raunchy sitcoms, etc.).
