Loginus, it was not fun. It was entertaining for me but it wasn’t fun.

Do you know how painful it is to talk to someone who is in denial like yourself? I mean its incredulous that you could say the muslims are not followers of terror and that muhammad was not a terrorist when muhammad exhibited such traits in his life and the muslim fundamentalists are today responsible for so many terror acts across the globe.

You bring the discussion level to an entirely new level. The level of ILLOGIC.

If we hold our noses, it means we are indirectly allowing the stench to pervade. If we speak, it cannot be good (since it is not justified) otherwise it has to be the singing of praises. There’s no in between. Looks like some of us here needs to have brain tuning done.

Is that an example of Christian values? Are you saying that anything in my post was untrue? Are one of the rules on this board that one must equate Isalm with fecal matter? Does Catholicism or Christanity demand that you not only negate the value of other people but that you stereotype them, belittle them, and mock them?
 
What’s the point of this thread? To see if anyone can find anything positive to say about Islam?

He is very nice and polite. My age too.

I have never really mixed with Muslims, only because my friends have been from Church, or school.

But doing my uni course has introduced me to all kinds of faiths, as where I live is very multi-cultural.

My teacher today is Hindu.

I have found them all to be great.

The only “bad” Muslims I ever see are on TV when terror strikes 😦 or one of their leaders says a silly remark like “women dress up like meat” 😦

You know Valke, every thread you post, if someone says something they feel, you constantly come back with “Oh, is that christian?” Or “Is that the way a Christian feels?”
I’m getting tired of your snide remarks.
This thread is ridiculous and I am surprised that a Jew would even post this since they want to anialate you off the face of the map. Even your statistics are wrong.
Why don’t you post a thread and talk about how wonderful Christians are, especially Catholics…you’ll never do it.
Christians do a lot of missionary work all over the world. There are several thousand organizations helping people. Priests are being killed b/c they risk their lives in war torn countries to bring God to the people.

You should worry about you own faith and how they treat others.

After we get through talking about how great Muslims are and by extension how wonderful Islam is, can we talk about how great the Nazis were and by extension how wonderful Nazism was?

After all, many of the Nazis gave to charities, helped their neighbors, fed the orphans, clothed the naked. They even gave free cruise holidays to deserving poor Germans. More than fifty million Nazis saluted Hitler in 1937 without killing anyone or burning anything to the ground.

Oh… so they killed some Jews and burned books and waged wars against non-Nazis and enslaved people. Did I mention Hitler loved dogs and Eva Braun? He also displayed great affection for the German people. He was very kind to Goebbel’s daughters. His secretaries had nothing but nice things to say about him - how he was such a gentleman, a wonderful person, charming, genius, a great man etc. I’m told he was quite a reasonable artist. And he could play the violin left handed under water, holding his breath for the time it takes to play the minute walz five times. It all goes to show how wonderful Nazism was.

How do you know this? Are you just making this up, or do you have sources that affirm this?

This is an absurd statement. You have no knowledge whatsover as to how billions of people made it through their day, and who they didn’t or did blame for anything.

Positive is great. Truth is great as well. Sometimes they don’t go together, sometimes they do. I’d love it if you could post something factual and real rather than a simple sweeping generalization as to how people behave. Provide information, please.

Well, let’s see:

Jews killed by Christians in anti-semitic pogroms: Easily over 10 million

Jews killed by Muslims in anti-semitic pogroms: arguably in the thousands, if you consider the Israel/Palestine conflict such a situation.

No comparison. What’s really offensive is the idea that Christianity has been good to Jews and Islam hasn’t. That’s a lie that approaches the level of holocaust denial.
 
The funny thing about this is as if Muslims ought to get a medal for doing no harm to anyone in the course of a single day, and praised for doing charity in the course of a day (as if this is something one should get a medal for)
Granted its nice and commendable, but its a practice that even atheists follow.
What is so wonderiffic about it all? I know! That a day could supposedly go by without some horrible news related to Islam.

I am happy but how pathetic is it to celebrate a single day as told to us by Valke2?
Lets see if you can post a thread on this after a month goes by.
