Is it true that Unintentional Consumption of Pork will prevent her from her Paradise?

Does anyone here know? Maybe she did not get proper instuction of Islam.
Or is it the true teaching? Maybe it depends on the Imam’s interpretation here?

It was an act of kindness that she slapped the waitress first rather than fling the knife in her heart right off. excellent restraint IMHO.

**The incident happened during the South Lounge gathering of congressmen when the waitress identified as Virginia Altamirano accidentally served pork to Dumarpa - a Muslim. **
Altamirano said she immediately apologized to Dumarpa after realizing her mistake. “She did not accept my apologies. Instead, she yelled at me and slapped me in the face,” Altamirano said.
**A furious Dumarpa allegedly grabbed a table knife and attempted to attack Altamirano but a fellow congressman stopped her. **
In an official statement, Dumarpa condemned the negligence of the restaurant.
**“What I did was my natural reaction on a situation where I felt betrayed… It is the policy of the House of Representatives that only Halal foods (food allowed for consumption by Islam) shall be served to Muslim congressmen and this has been relayed to you (Shangi-La restaurant) as a concessionaire.” **
**She asked the restaurant’s owner to terminate all crew members involved in the incident. **
"Unintentional consumption of such meat would hinder me from gaining entrance to paradise beyond dietary concerns. This is a matter of faith," she added.
Altamirano has yet to decide if she will press charges against the congresswoman. Possible charges against Dumarpa include grave threat and physical injuries.

**I don’t see the point why she has to attack the waitress and even threaten her with a knife; she is a member of Congress, after all, and it’s enough to complain to the manager if she felt she was slighted.

there’s another thread on this somewhere. Eating pork unintentionally has no bearing whatsoever on a muslim’s soul, from what I read on that thread. The woman overreacted and was not stating a islamic belief when she said otherwise.

Good to know that most of the irrational hate and wacky lack of use of simple logic is in short supply amoung Congresspersons…😛

Maybe the response you gave is only going to make the situation go in a direction u have not thought of here.

A truly wise man does not fight a percieved insult with another disguised insult.

You may have better luck appealing to something that does not smack of phony wrapped up in self rightousness.

Just a hint.

That depends on how you define “wrong.” If by wrong you mean the wrong way to salvation, which is by Jesus Christ alone, then I agree. But most religions include “right” elements that are similar to Catholicism/Christianity.

Muslims never cease making excuses for their bad behavior no matter how dark it is. I hope that this congresswomen gets sued!!! Shoving and hitting others is called assault and it is barbaric as well.
A little bit of pork won’t keep her out of heaven but her insensitive and nasty heart very well might!

In all fairness, there probably are people here with partisan attitudes… but really, what evidence of genuine concern would you look for? It’s hard to tell what other people’s motives are, you know.

Dont know if it fair to lump all muslims as excusors…but you are right about this lady, what an idiot. Even the Qur’an says if its out of ignorance then no big deal haha:p

I am a muslim. I somehow agree,

I think this congress woman should be charged with brawl charges. Hec even in Capital punishments Islam orders us to not execute punishments if there exists doubts. Its a famous islamic law rule . This lady assualted a waitress ( she probably most likely didnt know what the chef put in the food) without even asking her if she knew that there is pork in teh food. Even if she knew that there is pork in teh food, The Quran demands us to react to ignorant people with kindness.

No kidding!
Well maybe a couple of months in a jail cell might help her to understand her religious teachings better.
I personally think a $50,000 dollar fine for her abusive behavior would leave a better impression.
Perhaps it might help her to get over her natural reactions as well.

I think we should leave that forthe laws of that country. After all its just a small brawl.

She is dangerous and in terms of being civilized she is the one who is ignorant.

Yep :yup: just a small brawl and for some people in ***some ***circles this kind of behavior is as natural and as normal as breathing in and out :whacky: . A kind of my fist is always wearing a silk glove mentality 🙂 !!
