On Dec. 15 just four days before my son turned twenty three, he was killed in Iraq. Non combat related. My prayer is not so much for his father and I and his seven brother and sisters but for the troops left behind who were close to him. Especially for a particular family that I will not mention. Because of our faith in God and the support of our entire community, we will make it. Time will heal our pain however deep. Thank you in advance for your prayers!
 
Dear mep8,
I will keep your son in my prayers tonight and in Mass on Tuesday. What a sacrifice. Of course, I will also pray for all those whom he touched during his life. Time will heal all pain, and of course of Our Lord does the healing. God bless you and your family for all your sacrifices made for our country.

Our heroes who die during service to the country are always in my prayers, especially now that I have a son who is a Marine. May your son’s soul rest in peace with Jesus, Mary, and all the saints. May his buddies still serving feel God’s peaceful healing. May all families touched by this tragedy feel the strength to go on that only God can provide. God bless all of you.

Lord please grant the soldiers and this family healing for this fallen soldier. Let his sould rest in paradise with you and Christ for eternity. Give them strenght and faith. I pray for this war to have decreased death rates.

I am so sorry for your loss. I will pray very hard to God, for your son, you, your family and the Soldiers who today are still there.
 
We owe our military so very much. What a terrible death for you to have to endure…I pray that The Lord of His Great Love and Mercy will take your son and all fallen soldiers immediately into His Peace and Joy…may He bring every consolation and comfort to all who are grieving this terrible loss such a very young loss…
 
I just saw your post today … how terribly difficult for your family just before the celebration of Christmas!

I am so very sorry for the loss of your son. I pray that God will forgive him his sins and will grant him eternal life in His presence forever.

I pray too that God will be close to you and your husband, and his brothers and sisters, and that He will bring consolation and healing to your family.

And God bless your family for your son’s generosity and sacrifice!

How are you and your family doing? Find peace in knowing that he is with God in heaven.
