Another guardian angel question

I know that I’ve probably driven my own guardian angel to distraction at times and I hope he knows how much I appreciate his patient guidance and protection. That said, there’s someone I’ve been praying for who’s been through a rough time of it lately and who is not – to my knowledge – a believer, though he was baptized Catholic. I know I can address his GA but what I want to know is if it’s appropriate to ask my GA to offer his GA comfort and encouragement. Would such a thing be uncharitable of me, since I don’t know the state of this man’s heart? A few days ago I asked my GA to give his a hug, basically, and then I started wondering if it was okay to do that.

I don’t think you’re being uncharitable by requesting your GA to do that. If you’re asking him to do something that won’t be good for your friend, then I’m sure your GA won’t do it.

I have heard anecdotally that both Padre Pio and John XXIII were in the habit of asking their angels to contact the angels of persons with whom they were having a difficulty, with whom they would be having meetings or discussions on difficult topics, or for other reasons, so from that I assume it is a worthy practice.

I send my GA to help my Pastor during confessions and other difficult times. I send him [my GA] to help other priests that I know personally. I send him to former priests that I know. I send him on missions all the time for my wife, my children and people I don’t like or trust too. I send him to people that have hurt me and tested me. God granted me a wonderful experience with my GA in 1985 during a collision that changed my life forever. GA’s are wonderful. Even after leaving the Catholic faith for 17 years I never stopped believing in my GA. It’s kind of difficult to deny something you’ve seen. But I did have questions that were not answered until recently because I have also experienced other things I feel uncomfortable speaking about outside of those I know spiritually.

I love bringing my GA to mass. After all, if any angel diserves a heavenly congressional medal of honor it’s mine. If the Lord permits it I ask that my GA go to mass at certain times when I can’t make it. I realize that my GA completes my incomplete rosary for me. I ask other angels near me to help watch over me in my GA’s presumed absence. My convert wife just gave her GA a name, but I feel that my GA is too beautiful to be given a name other than the one in the angelic language - a tongue unkonw to man. I still see his face as if it happened yesterday. But perceptions over time deminish. No I’m not certifiable. I actually manage public civil engineering projects and design and analyze. I’m a normal Joe with God given gifts that I’ve been told are not mine to keep so I share them even though the gifts probably are meant to serve in the community of the church. This is another way to share what has been given to me - even if people think I’m crazy on here.

Pray for my vocation to the clergy … to the diaconate. I will pray for you and send my angel to you. Domestic church callinl…

Read “Send me your Guardian Angel” a book written by a priest that helped or took care of Padre Pio. You will learn a lot just by reading it. Okay, my wife read it and told me about it and read a lot about it. We are best friends and share everything. If angels could be in love ours would be in love with each other. I read the Liturgy of the Hours and my Bible mostly. I also read apologetics in an attempt to get ready for a graduate degree in theology.
