Another Holy Water Question

Just happened to be thinking about the Baptismal Font in our parish. We have a very large font that you could actually stand in if you wanted to. I have jokingly referred to it as our “Baptismal Pool.” Due to the large number of baptisms it is cleaned out completely about once a month. When cleaned, the water is emptied to the grounds in front of church, and the font is scrubbed out and cleaned. This usually happens during the week after week day mass. Upon refilling I have never seen or heard of our Pastor blessing (reblessing?) it. Should this be inquired about? Sometimes I feel that we are “brainless” about some of the details that might very well be very important! (not excluding myself:o) Thanks in advance for the help.
 
I’m not sure that holy water is necessary for baptism. Simple water is correct material for the sacrament, so I think it’s still valid if holy water isn’t used.

That being said, the priest should definitely be using holy water for baptism. Ask him about this.
 
The Rite of Baptism includes a prayer by the celebrant that invokes God to bless the water, or makes reference to the water already having blessed, whichever is appropriate.
 
In that case, I won’t obsess about it as there are usually many baptisms on Sat. morning. Thanks so much!!
