The only bright spark within the Church right now is the growing traditional movement, the increase of traditional-minded priests, and the discovery of tradition by Catholics who have been robbed of it. There is no renewal as a result of Vatican II. Anyway, seminaries were booming just prior to Vatican II, as were Catholic schools, vocations to the religious life, and Mass attendance. I could share some statistics if you’d like. What “renewal” did Vatican II accomplish? Finally, your claim that there is “no renewal” is a load of garbage. You say that from a completely self-serving point of view. I see A LOT of change in seminaries, in local parishes, etc. that are at the heart of what Vatican II taught. There are more parishes getting involved with more programs to get the laity involved. These are all GREAT things! Your pessimistic attitude toward VII shows more about your faith than it does about VII.
