I had a neighbor who I have known for 8 years now, come over to my house tonight. She is very upset. She thinks her husband is having an affair, but not sure. She has good reason to think so, but I am writing her to see if all of you will pray for their marriage. Her husband has disappeared now for five days. She doesn’t know where he is and won’t answer his cell phone. She told me that he could be dead for all she knows. She won’t report him as a missing person for she thinks he is with his mistress. She said they have been having trouble in their marriage for two years now. Please pray for Michael and Betty. They have been married for 28 years and have three children. Two children are from their union and one is from her husbands first marriage. She has given up hope for their marriage and is not Catholic, but has returned to her church for help. She is back to Bible studies on Wednesdays and going to church on Sundays. She has a lot of anger. She said if he were to come home tonight, she would “beat him up good.” The last time he had to call the police on her violent behavior. She was throwing glass at him. This is not good. He did not press charges against her when the police arrived.

I didn’t know anything was going on, but now that I do, I will offer many Rosaries for them. She wants me to pray for her and not her husband, but she is angry, very angry at him for now.

Please keep them in your prayers. Thanks. I would hate to see another marriage break up. She also told me that they will have to foreclose on her house. They are going to lose that too. He is not paying the mortgage. She is just waiting until the bank tells her to move out. She pay check is only enough to pay the basic and she is bearly making it. Her husband is not paying her anything. He even took out his retirement money and spent the entire $50,000.00. When she took some of it, he called her bad names and told her that she better give back his money. She did. They need lots of prayers. Thanks again. I love them both and hate to hear that this is happening to them.

I will be praying for Betty and Michael. May God touch their hearts with his Holy Spirit and open their eyes.

Dear God, please come with Your love and healing into these hearts and this marriage that is so full of pain and anxiety. God please help the children and give them security, love, and peace.
Dear God, please send a flood of love, healing, and blessing upon Betty and Michael and upon couples throughout the world.
God have pity on the tears and agony of those suffering difficulty within marriage.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Im praying very hard for God to touch them with the gift of love…the promises we made when we each take our marriage vows. I too was a victim of divorce. 23 years of marriage…to an alcoholic and one day he told me to “get lost…found someone else better”…Ended up with God opening a door to a man who has been my soulmate for many years…People tend to take their marriage vows way too lightly…My divorce was the FIRST in our family EVER…May God bring them together if it is His will and, if so, may they both realize just how STRONG and Powerful the marriage vows are.
Praying for them.

I saw that her husband did come home today while she was at work. He left when she arrived from work, so I doubt they talked. He is not there tonight. I feel so bad for her. I found out last night from some neighbors who also knew of what is going on that the husband has been asking us, the neighbors, for money. He borrowed $300.00 from us years ago, but paid it back in labor by mowing our lawn. He just asked a neighbor for $700.00 while he was at his work 6 months ago. That neighbor did not and could not give him the money. He asked another neighbor and he gave him the money but has not paid him back. This same neighbor told me that he feels that drugs are involved for this man spends a lot of money, especially since he withdrew his 41K money which was $50,000.00, according to the wife, and spent the whole thing in less than a month. She doesn’t know what he used the money for, but it was not to pay the mortgage.

Anyway, the neighbors love this couple and we are all praying for them to work things out. Please pray that Michael is not involved in drugs or shaddy characters. He also recently bought a new Cadillac, but doesn’t have the money to pay it. Their whole situation is strange. I know he has tried to borrow more than once money from us, but I always told him that we did not have it for they were all large amounts. The $300.00 we did give him was to pay a DUI fine he had gotten. I know that alcohol is involved, even thought his wife says no. He has had two DUI’s and has had his license suspended for one year. He needs help if he is an alcoholic or a drug addict. He is now training to be a truck driver and we don’t need an alcoholic in a semi-truck. I pray for him and his wife and thank all of you that are praying for them. Now, I just gave you a specific thing to pray for and that is freedom from substance abuse. One neighbor has no doubt it is substance abuse for he was in the car with him one time and he said he drove like a drunk and he was so happy to get home in one piece. I too have seen him drunk at home. I won’t tell this to his wife or my dh, but he also came on to me. He needs a lot of help. Betty is continuing to hang in there, but I can see that she is also depressed.

Thanks for your prayers.

Bless them and you for being such a caring person. I know the difficulties they are facing are great. May God bless them with his grace the wisdom to get some spiritual and professional help. sounds like they may need it. I’ll keep them in my prayers.

Holy Spirit, please guide all parties involved in nana3’s intentions. May the will of the Father be done with joy. And may all be drawn to God now and forever. Amen. :signofcross:
