Your problem is that you want to have your cake and eat it. You want to maintain a theological and scriptural position, but at the same time abscond from the responsibility of having to sustain, maintain, and defend that position by theological analysis and scriptural exegesis. In other words, you like to play the âidiot cardâ! You like to maintain what is essentially a theological and scriptural position; but as soon as somebody tries to challenge your theological and scriptural position by theological reasoning, and scriptural analysis, you cry: âI am dumb, I am stupid, I am an idiot; I canât comprehend, nor reason out of the scriptures; and I donât want to engage in theological analysis and scriptural exegesis of my theological position.â I have noticed that about you on numerous occasions. That is deeply hypocritical and extremely dishonestâand, I might add, extremely âdumbâ!
I believe that my theological position is biblical; and I believe that I am can defend that position convincingly through scriptural reasoning, analysis, and exegesis. But you run away from that! You appeal to what I will call the âidiot clauseâ! Your reply is: âI am dumb, I am an idiot, I am stupid; I canât reason out of the scriptures, and I cannot engage in a theological and scriptural discussion with you!â That is hypocritical and dishonestâas well as being extremely stupid. If you are that scripturally ignorant and incompetent, then what are you doing here, engaging people in what is essentially a scriptural and theological debate? If, on the other hand, you want to maintain a theological and scriptural position, and come here and debate it with other people, then you should accept the responsibility to be able to defend it through honest scriptural exegesisâor else, if you canât, to admit defeat.
