Sort of. The violation was having something “too big” hanging from my rear view mirror, but I was moving at the time a cop decided to pull me over for it. I did get off with a warning.

Yes. I put a cup of coffee on the car roof as I was filling up, and found it when I started to drive.

This one made me laugh out loud, @Milt. My mom once left her purse on the roof of the car and was happily driving down the street. Another driver got her attention. Unfortunately, yes…they are very destructive…they slice the bark on small tree limbs in order to lay their eggs, and the damage to the trees can be extensive…
