Do I commit gluttony every time I eat something if I don’t really need it?
Let’s say there’s a plate of cookies, and even though I had told myself I wouldn’t have another one, I take another one. Would that already be gluttony?
Or if I am kind of full but feel like something refreshing like an apple, so I have a few slices - gluttony?

I don’t think so. I think gluttonly is more of state of mind - a desire to “have it all” mentality.

Those of us who struggle daily with food addiction need to be aware of how gluttony affects our lives and seek ways to turn from this. But to become scrupulous about the problem does not help in any way.
