If you were born infertile does this bar you from getting married within the Catholic Church? I’ve been thinking about marriage a lot lately, and I don’t want to do anything sinful against God or the church. I obviously would be forthcoming about my condition with my future spouse.

No. Sterility is not an impediment to marriage. You are free to marry in the Church.

Impotence, however, is an impediment, so you have to be physically capable of consumating the marriage.

God Bless

How do you know you are infertile ? Is that something you need to bring to confession? Theres ways for a man to know that are not compatible with the catholic faith . I’m not asking you to answer that here , just figure it out. I am of course assuming you are male for some reason. Correct me if I am wrong about that .

Sterility is not an impediment to marriage.
§3. Sterility neither prohibits nor nullifies marriage, without prejudice to the prescript of can. 1098
You have to be honest with a future spouse if you do know.
Can. 1098 A person contracts invalidly who enters into a marriage deceived by malice, perpetrated to obtain consent, concerning some quality of the other partner which by its very nature can gravely disturb the partnership of conjugal life.

I know I’m infertile, because I was born with Kallamann’s Syndrome. Infertility is one of the symptoms of it. Along with anosmia.
