In my 80% hispanic neighborhood, the Church is the place you get a free meal and sympathy. But I would say only 20% of those loyal immigrants actually go to Church. Does the Pope give Mexicans a free ride?

He may be a saint. I have no way of knowing…nor do you. But, it’s still odd to say you “prefer” his selfless act to that of Saint Kolbe’s. Why prefer? Was Kolbe’s a lesser act in your mind?

Religious people are supposed to do that kind of thing.

There is no link between the suffering of people in World War II and the illegal immigration issues in the US. This whole line of reasoning is ridiculous. Military invasion and occupation with the killing and oppression they entail is worlds apart from a large number of people immigrating to another country.

I doubt that God is disappointed with His Church coming to the aid of those in need…regardless of legal status.

If you LET these people steal America, then all those who died in the past did so for nothing.

I don’t see helping more Mexicans freeload is what Jesus would want. The more you give them, the more they want. It is an endless cycle.

Immigrating requires the immigrant to obey the laws of the land. These people are forcing their will on the American people. That’s called invasion. An act of war by any country’s rule book.

Apparently, if he was a Mexican, instead of a Samaritan, you would have done even more than just walk by. You would have gone into the town square and told everyone about the dirty Samaritans lying around on your roads freeloading.

Apparently, if he was a Mexican, instead of a Samaritan, you would have done even more than just walk by. You would have gone into the town square and told everyone about the dirty Samaritans lying around on your roads freeloading.

In my town, everyone has a hardluck story. But I remember that people in Mexico live like kings compared to those in Africa. And don’t say that they don’t because the United Nation has facts to prove otherwise.

In my parish about 5 years ago, we had an excellent pastor who would give people the straight truth. Today was the anniversary of my father’s death but it also reminded me that on the same day a man was killed in front of my church.

The pastor talked about the evil that exists in the world rather than the warm fussy unreality that some pastors will gravitate to. He said that only evil would have killed that man. He was also very realistic about people coming to the parish asking for hand outs.

Some of these Mexicans can be very belligerant and would tell him what his duties were. He would advise them that he would help them with food and whatever he could but that’s where he drew the line. They weren’t going to live off the parish. He also told the congregation the same thing. They have a responsibility to feed themselves and not live off of others.

They really didn’t care for this dose of reality and they eventually had him removed. Our newer pastor is more politically correct and doesn’t step on anyone’s toes.

Today I reminded my handicapped friend about the Mexican who came up to him and asked him for money on Christmas Day. Imagine walking up to a one legged person sitting in a wheel chair and asking him for money. That’s the entitlement attitude these people have. Feed them once and you’ll never get rid of them.

But I guess your bible has a quote about that too!

My Bible?

I pray that you get over your general hatred for all Mexicans due to the actions of some. There is evil in the world…it is present in people of all races.

There is a problem with illegal immigration, and I hope we solve it. Racist rants don’t help the cause.
