Please pray for the soul of a man named Joe who committed suicide last week. I heard about this today. He was alone for the most part, and had problems. Coupled with the Christmas holidays it was too much for him. He left a note.

Please, Lord…have mercy! :byzsoc:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary

Praying for his soul, may he be with JESUS now, and rest in HIS arms

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

I pray that Joe has finally found comfort and love he needed in our Lord.

Thank you so much for your prayers on Joe’s behalf. I didn’t know him personally, but I do know his ex-wife, and she is left to deal with things. Please remember her also.

I’m praying for you Joe and his friends and family.

Prayerfully,

I regularly pray for those who commit suicide and will add Joe and his former wife to my prayers. She might find this article by Ron Rolheiser helpful. He writes a column and each year chooses the topic of suicide at least once. You can read the other archived articles at this site as well.

Thank you for this link. I’m sure it will help Joe’s ex. I know it has helped me. My husband committed suicide 15 years ago. Even knowing that he really was not responsible…he had spoken to a priest several days before, and even talked to his family We thought the crisis was past…I still need reminding from time to time. This article is something I will bookmark or copy for myself and others who deal with this terrible form of death.

May Joe’s soul, and the souls of all the faithfully departed, rest in peace Amen
