Baptism can be done in certain life threatening circumstances by any person, you are right.
But we have to remember that it is a Sacrament, as Confirmation, Holy Orders & so on.
Therefore, do not make light of a Sacrament, and you know, I am sure that in every Christian church, it is something, ( as all the sacraments) that the whole family of God want to participate in, sharing the joy. As in Baptism, being one with the parents.
I feel sad that you do not appreciate or seem to understand the Joy of being part of the Family of God.
