Answered prayer or deceit by the evil one

I recently had an apparent answer to prayer, yet I am in doubt about it that I could be decieved either as part of God’s will or the satan messing with me.

It is a sensitive topic and I am somehow not full of peace of hearing seemingly good news I would like. Perhaps I am troubled of past happenings, but shouldn’t there be relief instead of doubt?

Is it possible satan could prompt someone to deceive me as an apparent answer from God on something coveted?
 
It would be useful if you could discuss this with another person who know the subject. We may not address your fear or doubt properly without privy to the information that is required to provide the answer.

There are a few fundamentals here:

God does answer prayers. That cannot be denied especially by the testimonies of many of those who have experienced them.

We have to take in faith that it is God that answers the prayer as it can also be a coincident or even the trick of the Evil One.

Since you had prayed, there is no reason for you to be afraid that it is from Satan because you directed your prayer to God and expect Him to be your Provider. Your disposition to requested gift from God should be one of thanksgiving instead of doubt and anxiety.

Jesus said we shouldn’t fear. God cannot deceive us nor can He be deceived.

Be vigilant, of sin.
 
you need to be more specific; if you want CAF to offer you advice over the interweb

or perhaps try to overcome your scruples…

Just because you don’t feel the way you thought you would at an answered prayer doesn’t mean you were deceived.

Sometimes being under tremendous strain leaves us drained when we get our answer, rather than joyful.

A neighbor of mine went through infertility for years, then her babies spent a long time in NICU, but she brought them home alive and healthy. Then to her surprise, she succumbed to post partum depression. Even though she got her happy ending.

Depending on what you prayed for and how much you suffered to get there–maybe you’re just spiritually tired.
Remember to give thanks for your blessing, but don’t be hard on yourself for not feeling the “right” way.

There is nothing that the devil can do in which he does not have the permission of God. Be humble. Try to live the holiness that God calls you to live and even if the devil had a hand in doing something (he can appear as an angel of light) you can still give glory to God.
 
A rough patch in marriage recently where it seemed there was infidelity and had been an issue prior to marriage.
 
If we remain in Him (out of the mud of sin), we do not give satan a toehold.

Satan can do one thing to the Christian who is in friendship with God, tempt you to sin yet God promises there is always a way to escape that sin.

I don’t know, my prayers are usually answered in lessons to me vs how I have always prayed and I don’t think my motives were selfish.
Prayed for success/longevity after struggles in job = lost job career challenges(several).
Everything is inverse of what I have struggled and prayed about. Now, I seemingly get an answer and I feel like it should have been divinely imparted to assure me. To think a spouse has been unfaithful is not pleasant thought/s to put it mildly. Then thinking about impacts to the family two toddlers and what has always been a happy unit together. Very tormenting.
