My husband was raised Catholic, and, as I converted prior to our dating, we were married in a Nuptial Mass.

However, due to a lot of trials we’ve been facing in our life together, my husband began to withdraw from the Church (and his faith, in general, really). It was difficult for me to see, since my faith is so important to me, but I did my best to continue to show him Christ’s love through my life, and I prayed, prayed, prayed that he would find spiritual peace.

Now let me tell you something important: God answers prayer!

Last week, Hubby came home from work and told me he’d decided to subscribe to a few new podcasts to listen to at work. Several of his new podcasts are Catholic in nature. He admitted that he didn’t know why, but he feels the need now to be closer to the Lord. He listens to at least two Catholic podcasts every day at work, he’s much more open about his Catholic faith, and he wants to start praying together again! Praise the Lord!

I told his mother, who had also been praying for him, that I know this change is the Lord working in his heart, and that our prayers have been answered.

So if there’s someone in your life that has a need, keep praying! You may feel like you’re not doing much, but really, it’s probably the most powerful thing you can do!

My hubby was a Catholic who went to Mass, but he wasn’t one who lived it in his daily life.

I converted after we married and we’ve been growing together in the Faith. It has been wonderful!! He has truly embraced his Faith, as I have. It took awhile for him to be as enthusiastic as I am. :o

Prayer works! God is faithful to call his children to Him!

Wonderful! I’m so happy for both of you.
I have been praying for my husband, to open his heart to God. Stories like yours give me much hope.
