This sort of behaviour is not acceptable by Catholics and is Unchristian. He has clearly violated the forum rules:I just received a private message from a member here calling me scum. His name is Ecclesiasticus S:

You have come to the wrong place for preaching the devils religion.
No one here cares about islam it is THE DEVILS RELIGION.
I can assure you that we do not have the slightest interest in it ok?
What is this guy’s deal?
I suspect that his “deal” is that he doesn’t read and write well. Otherwise, he would have ascertained that your purpose here is to debate against Islam and not for it. In all probability, English is not his first language.I just received a private message from a member here calling me scum. His name is Ecclesiasticus S:

Hello and welcome. I have not visited this website for some time having been pre-occupied with your own, seeking to find answers to the problems encountered with a Muslim “son-in-law”, my daughter’s partner (now ex.) So my answers would be basically taken from yours. I would suggest to other members of the forum that for an insight into the mind of would-be enquirers of the Islamic persuasion a visit to your website would be beneficial.Hello,
This is my first post on this forum and I wanted to hear how Roman Catholics would answer the most typical questions and objections raised by Muslims. The reason why I am interested in hearing the Catholic response is because as a Protestant I am aware of the Protestant responses to these same arguments. Here are the first two questions that I would like to see answered from a Catholic believer/apologist:
Any replies to these questions will be much appreciated.
- Can you quote any place in the Holy Bible where Jesus says “I am God” or “Worship” in those exact words?
- What are your strongest Biblical texts proving that Jesus did claim to be God Incarnate?

One has to remember that the majority of questions from Muslims and their subsequent rejection of scriptural proofs, on the basis of “corruption”, are kindled by authors such as Ahmed Deedat who mislead their readers with unfounded claims concerning both Islam and Christianity, rather than anything gleaned from the Koran. It is sad that so many Muslims rely on such pathetic renderings. With this in mind I would heartily recommend Answering Islam and especially the rebuttals section, which will give insight into the how and why of such questions raised by Muslims.
Thank you for your great inspiration and long may you continue with us.

That’s it, MJ.
Frankly though there is NOTHING Muslims (regardless whether they fall for Deedat et al antics against Christianity) can not be answered by knowing Christian history.
MJ
Sadly the majority of Muslims are completely unaware of the fullness of their “religion” in terms of their obligations under Islam. Having to recite the Koran (or passages therefrom) in 7th century Arabic, a language not understood by them, is not conducive to “knowing”. Most are blissfuly unaware of the dubious and often horrific obligations placed upon them. They are convinced that Mohammed is a perfect example of moral conduct without knowing of his unsavoury bnehaviour. That’s it, MJ.
OTOH we cannot disprove Islam by using the Quran or Mohammad simply because Muslims are better than anybody else on these subjects, as we too are on the Bible and Jesus. The adherents are the interpreters of their religions.
But we can defend Christianity and thus answering Islam if we know our own stuff well because most of Muslim’s accusation against us are not valid, cherry picking and misrepresentation of the Bible and Church’ doctrines. We therefore need to straighten their misconception by correcting them and by applying the standard that they use to critique Christianity to critique Islam. And usually they cannot stand their own standard. Many a times we fall victims to Muslims’ double standard.
Right on target. It appears to me that, as others have pointed out, when Scripture is quoted in response to questions from Muslims the standard reply is that The Bible is corrupted and cannot therefore be trusted. Perhaps a better approach would be to engage the enquirer on the subject of prophesies about Mohammed in the Bible. An informed Muslim will gladly tell you that Mohammed was prophesied as the progeny of Ishmael and also as The Paraclete, the Comforter who will teach you all things, quoting ironically from???
Yeah! The Bible! Funny how some of the Bible remained un-corrupted when it suits purpose.
