Thank you for the welcome. Much appreciated. And yes I am aware of that tract since David Wood is my dear brother and used much of the material which, by God’s grace, we have compiled for our website Answering Islam into a short tract for Christians of various branches to use successfully. Like I said, I really want to hear a comprehensive case from the Catholic perspective since I am trying to learn from all the major branches of Christianity, specifically those who affirm the historic doctrines of the blessed Trinity, the hypostatic union of our blessed Lord etc. I especially want to hear answers which provide a thorough biblical defense of the eternal generation of the Son, as well as the eternal procession of the Holy Spirit, since these aspects are not emphasized as much in the Protestant apologetic materials that I have read in response to Muslims.

And I really do appreciate all the responses that have been given thus far. May our sovereign Triune God richly bless all of you and guide us all into his perfect revealed truth so we can know him more faithfully and love and adore him more passionately.
~ Sam,

I do hope you receive the answers you desire from our Catholic members on here.

I would like to mention that once I saw your profile name, I knew exactly who you guys were. I didn’t once think that you were a Muslim poster trying to fake us out.

Best regards & stick around… I would love to see the Acts17 posters back here again…!

Sam, David Wood is the man and he should do an entire video dedicated to the plagiarism in the Qur’an regarding the “seven sleepers” Mary under the tree with a talking Jesus, and the birds out of clay.

Sam ~

Have you read Robert Spencers new book regarding Islam…???

He has written this book from a Catholic perspective and it’s on sale right here on CAF shop.

You see why we need to educate our own regarding what Muslims believe and how to properly witness to them?
We’ve had so many muslim members on here in the past, now we only have a few.

No matter how we answer their inquiries regarding Christianity it hasn’t helped.

In one breath - our Bible is corrupted

In the other breath - Hey look… our prophet is mentioned in many places in the Bible

OY VEY ~ 😃

I have the book and it is great as usual. But it isn’t intended to deal specifically with the objections I raised, which is why I think it would be great if Catholics, such as the members of CA, write a comprehensive handbook on equipping people to respond to Muslim objections.

Yes it really is me, and yes I do tend to struggle with my temper which I beg the risen Lord to give me the grace to overcome. And your reply didn’t help cure my anger issues at all. 😃 Or should that be :(?
Hi Sam,and dont worry about the post,ha ha…i would just like to say hello and it is indeed a pleasure to meet you.you have educated me no end along with David Wood.you are very good in what you do and keep up the great work, thank… 👍 🙂

ive given this a bit of thought, on the difference within the Catholic faith and the other denominations of Christianity.and yet we all agree that Jesus is GOD…

omnipresent…
om·ni·pres·ent [om-nuh-prez-uhnt] Show IPA
adjective
present everywhere at the same time: the omnipresent God.
Origin:
1600–10; < Medieval Latin omnipraesent- (stem of omnipraesēns ), equivalent to Latin omni- omni- + praesent- present1

Related forms
om·ni·pres·ence, noun

Synonyms
Omnipresent, ubiquitous refer to the quality of being everywhere. Omnipresent emphasizes in a lofty or dignified way the power, usually divine, of being present everywhere at the same time, as though all-enveloping: Divine law is omnipresent. Ubiquitous is applied to that which seems to appear in many and all sorts of places, or in an undignified or humorous way is “all over the place,” often when unwanted: A bore seems to be ubiquitous.

now you are asking for a Catholic point of view, not any other denomination? if that is right how about the Eucharist at daily/weekly mass?God/Jesus is present in the Eucharist and the wine,so he is omnipresent…

the same as Matthew 18:20
For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.

ill post after ive had a clean up and some thing to eat…🙂

this is a question you asked in the first post so ive taken the biblical reading here to explain the post above…
What are your strongest Biblical texts proving that Jesus did claim to be God Incarnate?
[26] For as often as you shall eat this bread, and drink the chalice, you shall shew the death of the Lord, until he come. [27] Therefore whosoever shall eat this bread, or drink the chalice of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and of the blood of the Lord. [28] But let a man prove himself: and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of the chalice. [29] For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord. [30] Therefore are there many infirm and weak among you, and many sleep.

foot notes:

[27] Or drink: Here erroneous translators corrupted the text, by putting and drink (contrary to the original) instead of or drink.

[27] Guilty of the body: not discerning the body. This demonstrates the real presence of the body and blood of Christ, even to the unworthy communicant; who otherwise could not be guilty of the body and blood of Christ, or justly condemned for not discerning the Lord’s body.

[28] Drink of the chalice: This is not said by way of command, but by way of allowance, viz., where and when it is agreeable to the practice and discipline of the church.

That’s not answering my questions and doesn’t accurately reflect the Muslim position. Even though the Muslims will say the Holy Bible is corrupt they still believe that the Holy Bible, in its current form, doesn’t support doctrines such as the hypostatic union. So instead of telling me what Muslims believe could you please answer the questions since I want to learn how Roman Catholics respond to these charges. Thank you very much.
Actually, this conversation has taken place on this forum and others several times before. Generally, the quesiton is asked, someone goes to the trouble to provide a half dozen references in Scripture and explain what it means, and the Muslim person tells them they are interpreting it incorrectly and that the Bible is corrupt anyway. It’s really difficult to discuss doctrine like that using a “sola scriptura” mentality, when one party at least mostly regects the Scriptures in the first place.

Anyway, the strongest Scripture that supports Our Lord’s divinity, in my humble Catholic opinion, are all in John’s Gosple. Particularly in the opening of the first chapter, in chapter 10 (wherein the Jews attempt to stone Jesus for claiming to be God), and in chapter 20 (wherein Thomas addresses Him as “My Lord and my God”.)

I have the book and it is great as usual. But it isn’t intended to deal specifically with the objections I raised, which is why I think it would be great if Catholics, such as the members of CA, write a comprehensive handbook on equipping people to respond to Muslim objections.
Hi Sam and welcome to CAF!

It’s a great honor to have you here sir. I watched many of your debates and I particularly enjoyed your debate with Shabir Ali 👍

Here is a website filled with bible verses.

May God continue to bless you and your ministry.

Very well. This Catholic thinks answering or even trying to prove those questions would be a foolish waste of time. Catholics providing answers based on or quoting Scripture hasn’t apparently led you or the millions of other Protestants to decide that Catholicism is the True Faith, therefore this Catholic assumes doing so would have even less of an impact on someone who’s faith holds the Bible in less regard. At best, trying to prove these questions will only allow the Muslim apologist to assume that the only holy text that needs to be questioned and proved is the Bible.

Are you of that excellent website “Answering Islam”?
