Speaking about book suggestions…

I learned the neatest thing a few weeks ago. That the word “Truth” in Hebrew consists of the 1st, the middle, and the last letter of the aleph-bet. And also if you take the Aleph away you end up with the word “dead” … in other words, searching for the truth apart from God only leads to death.

I love learning things like this and was wondering if someone might suggest a book(s) that contained tid-bits of info like this. (I have the book “The Wisdom in the Hebrew Alphabet”)

I must say. One of the main reasons I came back to catholicism was understanding judaism from the Old Testament. It really filled in the knowledge gaps I had in order to understand the Church.
Just the opposite of my experience. Studying the Hebrew Bible (in college) moved me away from Catholicism and to my Jewish roots. (My father was RC; my mother was an observant Orthodox Jew. I was baptized Catholic, but identify as Jewish. We celebrated the Jewish holidays at home.)
