Anti-8 site: "Catholics, Mormons: How do you deal with knowing your family/friends are haters?"

That was a question recently put to members of an anti-Mormon forum in response to the Proposition 8 vote. Apparently, anyone who voted “yes” on Prop 8 is a hater according to the anti-religion crowd. The Catholic-Mormon bashing at this particular site is overwhelming since Prop 8 was passed. I guess it’s good when we Catholic “gayhaters” work with the Mormon “gayhaters” to stop immorality from completely overwhelming the country. Why defining marriage as it traditionally has been defined is considered “hate” is puzzling to me. We’ve entered the era when Right is Wrong and Wrong is Right.

Two thoughts:
  1. Gay (adj.) cheery: bright and pleasant; promoting a feeling of cheer. How could anyone hate something that is gay?
  2. I don’t think we define marriage. We discover what it is, like we discover the laws of physics. Like the number pi; it is what it is, and the law can’t change it.
But if they are asking how I like having friends and relative that hate homosexuals? I can’t answer the question because I don’t have any friends or relatives that hate homosexuals.

yeah i had tried to politely take the other side on the gay activist thread over there and about the time i started making headway the thread was closed. I don’t know why the RFM folks are so intent on being anti-religion, pro-gay.

I voted yes on 8 because i am catholic not because of hate. I find it interesting that the no on 8 folks tried to claim the voters were lied to by out of state money when their own side actually got more out of state money and they are proving the truth of the yes side through their actions.

Wow – talk about living in Babylon. I don’t think I would even be willing to consider living there. The Bay Area makes Chicago look sane (and trust me, Chicago’s not sane).
