He’s an ex-Catholic and by definition that means that he is dissatisfied with the Catholic Church (not necessarily that he hates her just that he doesn’t believe in her or care for her). I recommend that you pray for him.
Quick scan of why he’s an ignorant bigot:

–Pope is an “old man trying to get attention”
– He accuses the Pope of being ignorant of the Scriptures (compared to himself, for example)
–For 25 years the author didn’t know the Bible because he was -Catholic.
–Because of his all-defining personal experience as a Catholic, the Pope is meaningless (Not just to him. Just plain meaningless)
–The Pope’s words are “nothing but a naked attempt by Pope Benedict XVI to “own” Jesus”

I could go on with the examples of ignorance and bigotry, but I would have to reprint the whole column which goes way beyond being “dissatisfied.”

I agree with most of what this guy says. We as Protestants must always understand that it is the ignorance of the popes understanding of what Christs desire for the church was, and not that he is just a mean person. We know that God opposes the proud and we must as loving Protestants pray for this man.
To accuse the pope of pride is pretty judgemental - especially because I doubt that you have the ability to read hearts. The pope probably has a lot to deal with. And if there is pride it is probably (I would assume) in his office which has been around since Peter and which is recorded to have had 200 and some odd Popes. The fact is that never at any time in history have we (as a church) been without a shephard.
