Somebody left the January-March 2003 issue of Alamo Christian Ministries World Newsletter on my doorstep (those of you who live in or near major American cities probably have seen this newsletter, which is put out by Tony Alamo, who is, among other things, virulently anti-Catholic).
I always considered Alamo just another Jack-Chick-esque Evangelical polemicist, but in this newsletter, something I saw shocked me: on page 5 of the issue, he quotes the Wisdom of Solomon! As far as I could see, he seemed to consider it part of the Bible!
So, Alamo has defied my stereotype of him to some small degree. So I wanted to ask if others, more familiar with him, have more information. Does Alamo Christian Ministries believe in the ‘Deuterocanon’? I know they are very hardcore about using the King James Version - perhaps they also employ the ‘Apocrypha’ section that originally appeared in the KJV (i.e. the ‘Deuterocanon’ plus 1st and 2nd Esdras)?
