Antiochene Orthodox allow communion?

I’ve heard from several Maronite Catholics and other Eastern Catholics of the Syriac-Antiochene tradition say that the Antiochene Orthodox are stuck between a rock and a hard place allowing this. From what I’ve heard they wish to re-establish full communion with Rome (while maintaining communion with the rest of the Orthodox Churches), but are being pressured the other way rather harshly by Moscow and Constantinople.

Apparently the Antiochene Orthodox allow Catholics and Oriental Orthodox to receive the Eucharist there. It does not seem probable to me that this is true, but I guess it’s possible.

Is this true? Under Canon Law would I be permitted to receive the Eucharist in an Antiochene Orthodox parish? I plan to at least visit a parish while I’m in college at Ave Maria University (there’s one 10 mins. away).

I think you are confusing the Melkites with the Antiochean Orthodox, which is easy to do: among those who have submitted to Rome, the Melkite break was probably the most pain free, and remains so. Relations between the two are still close, and it is an open secret that the two communities intermarry and comune. There is no official sanction for this on the Orthodox side (unlike for the Oriental Orthodox, where intermarriage is offcially recognized, and even intercommunion): someone can get defrocked or excommunicated over it.
