Okay here is a question which I have fiercely debated with many of my friends. I find it quite appropriate for this forum:
Would you rather live in the times of antiquity or modernity? If you truly like, add in the medieval period; but the question begs to answer the existential issues surrounding modernity today. In effect, would you as a Catholic (or non-catholic) give up everything to live in periods of the greatest Scholastic and Theological achievement ever?
Just thought it would be an interesting and thought-provoking question. Just a hint: most modern youths abhor the thought and moral impositions of antiquity, as evidenced in college courses and debates.
