How many wives/husbands can you marry and later have the marriage anulled and still consider yourself a Catholic.
Huh?How many wives/husbands can you marry and later have the marriage anulled and still consider yourself a Catholic.
None. How many wives/husbands can you marry and later have the marriage anulled and still consider yourself a Catholic.
Well, I’m with the above people wondering what the exact question is…but I guess any number. An annulment isn’t a sin.How many wives/husbands can you marry and later have the marriage anulled and still consider yourself a Catholic.
If a marriage is valid, you can only be married once. If you get a civil divorce and attempt a new marriage, you may be committing serial monogamy but you are almost certainly committing adultry (ie. in a state of mortal sin). Because the church is a hospital for sinners and not a shrine for saints, you can still consider yourself Catholic and attend Mass, but you may not participate in the sacraments until the situation is regularized. How many wives/husbands can you marry and later have the marriage anulled and still consider yourself a Catholic.
How many times can one buy a product or piece of merchandise and return it for being defective before they are stuck with it?How many wives/husbands can you marry and later have the marriage anulled and still consider yourself a Catholic.
Yes I know that. How many times can one buy a product or piece of merchandise and return it for being defective before they are stuck with it?
If a marriage is declared null (not to be confused with nullified, which is a contradiction), then there was no true husband/wife involved. So to answer how many husbands or wives could one have? None.
Yes, it is a sad reflection on the general state of marital reverence or lack thereof in our present society. It almost makes a couple wonder if they should apply for an annulment just to prove to themselves that they ARE in fact married.Yes I know that.
I just tried to make fun of it. Because I don’t like the anullation apparatus that has come to dominate the modern Church and several anullations given on dubious grounds.
In medicine a diagnosis you give when all else are excluded is called a “dustbin-diagnosis”. I think there are “dust-bin” canons that can be used on very loose grounds.
Yeah I’ve heard that too.I used to think the annulment process was too easy too, but when i started to look into it and read what would make a marriage invalid I found that its not that its so easy to get an annulment but that so many couples dont go into marriage fully informed![]()
