What happens when no witensses respond?

Ex-husband hates the Church and wants to prevent the ex-wife from getting married. Sister says, “Yeah, oh, how nice” and then leaves the papers sitting in a spare bedroom for a year.

Is there a process for moving forward when the relatives and friends who are witnesses and the ex just can be bothered and don’t send in any paperwork?

Hello,

It would depend on what the Petitioner wished to do and what the Judge(s) think is the best course of action:
Code:
--continue with the case, as is, and accept whatever the decision may be
--supply other evidence (which can be of a few different kinds and how/why it is gathered can depend on the "grounds")
 --withdraw the case

This happens all the time. Check with the priest handling your case as to what happens next.
