Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I am struggling with anxiety and suicidal thoughts. I have run out of 4 of my psychiatric medications. They are on order but in the mean time, I am really struggling right now.

I got in trouble at work for making a decision that was not mine to make. I have apologized to my boss and the other boss involved but now I feel terribly ashamed and humiliated.

I beg of you to please pray for me as I struggle through this. Thank you all so much for not letting me suffer alone. Your prayers are beautiful and deeply appreciated.

But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (Liturgy_Geek), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. I will pray for you tonight at our Fatima Novena. If you are close to Notre Dame, you can find a priest very easily to hear your confession.
 
I’m praying for you. May the Lord relieve you of suicidal thoughts and resolve your situation at work.
 
Lord help this dear child of your to know it is not her fault that she has had these problems, it is not a defect of character, it is just her mind, her mind needs the medicine, just as a diabetic would need theirs. Please help her Lord to get her medicine soon! Pray for her Mary. Amen

Lord, our God, you graciously chose St. Dymphna
as patroness of those afflicted with mental, emotional,
and nervous disorders. She is thus an inspiration and
a symbol of charity to the thousands who ask her intercession.

Please grant, Lord, through the prayers of this pure
youthful martyr, relief and consolation to all suffering such
trials, and especially those for whom we pray.

We beg you, Lord, to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna on
behalf of Liturgy Geek. Grant all those for whom we pray
patience in their sufferings and resignation to your divine will.
Please fill them with hope, and grant them the relief and
cure they so desire.

Here is an update: I am trying hard to manage and working to keep the suicidal thoughts out of my head. I have made an appointment with a Catholic counselor who will hopefully help me. Due to a snafu at the mail-order pharmacy, I am now without 4 of my psychiatric medications, which is why I am so bad off right now. My doctor’s office has worked with the pharmacy and I should get my medications in about 10 days. It will be a bumpy ride between now and then.

And, I was told by my back surgeon that I need surgery immediately for my severe scoliosis but I cannot have surgery until I lose 40 pounds. Working on a 1200 calorie diet now but will increase my walking to meet this goal.
