Hope someone can advise me.
We had a mold problem, hired a company who had to tear out the walls and floors in master bedroom and bath. They recommended another company to rebuild it all, and they rebuilt the walls, replaced the bathtub and toilet, and put in new floors.
So far so good. But they neglected to replace the electrical baseboard heater in the bathroom, so no heater there.
And they forgot about replacing the bathtub and toilet grab bars that my husband needs to use the facilities.
When I asked they said they don’t do electrical work.
None of this is covered by insurance.
Should I just hire someone else to tear out the part of the wall where the heater goes, and attach the bars? Or do the companies who did the work have any responsibility to make sure it’s usable?
Probably it’s partly my fault, as I paid them in full. I forgot about those things also.
Thanks for any suggestions.
