We found out recently that our parish is over $122,000 in debt. I thought I would mention that all 2014 net Kindle profits for these two Christian novels are going to my parish to help alleviate this. Each is only $.99, which means you can get–or give to your friends–two Christian novels for under $2! Please consider helping my parish get out of the red and into the black.
 
I write SF and all I can say is: keep the sex, profanity and blood and gore out. Write uplifting stories about courage, bravery and exploration that lifts up not tears down. There’s too much Dark out there.

I consider myself a person who writes, not a writer. I’ve grown tired of the idea that although writing is a gift, it does not elevate a person to ‘above human’ status. I believe anyone who makes the effort can write good SF or Fantasy. And that sense of wonder that used to exist in SF is gone. It’s been replaced by agenda writing. Give me a book that takes me into the story without offending my sensibilities – that’s good SF. The downward trend started in the 1970s and just kept on going. I want to explore other worlds and see things imagined that don’t exist but seem plausible, not politics.
