Hello, I am looking for fellow Chinese Catholics! I’m still in RCIA but God willing I will be 100% Catholic. Up till now I have not known one Chinese Catholic. Please, if you are out there, I’d like to fellowship with you. Thanks and God bless!

I am not Chinese but we have a wonderful Chinese Mission Church right in our diocese. I am sending you the link. Be sure an explore it’s many parts especially the link to the Chinese homily. sttheresechinatown.org/chinese_homily.html
sttheresechinatown.org/ You are definitely not alone, once you become Catholic, you are part of a parish family of over one billion strong. You will remain in prayers during your studies of RCIA.

Check with your diocese for any Chinese Catholic groups. I was surprised to find out we have a small, but close and active group just a parish away. They have a Chinese Mass and an RICA program. They are awesome!

Hello. I’m Chinese and I just started my RCIA at university. I’m the only Chinese there and I’m really looking forward to finding some Chinese Catholic friends in US.

Hi Sophie, welcome to RCIA. I live in Dayton Ohio and have met a few Chinese Catholics here. There is a Chinese Catholic Bible study led by an American Marianist priest here. I went there one time and it was very very good. Other than that, I don’t really have communication with any Chinese Catholic.

I wish you a very fruitful RCIA journey. You can PM me if you like.

Hello, I am looking for fellow Chinese Catholics! …Up till now I have not known one Chinese Catholic.
If you live in an area where many Chinese people live, there may be a Catholic parish there that is either predominantly Chinese or has a significant number of Chinese members. 🙂

I live near a Little Saigon, for example, and many Vietnamese Catholics in the area attend Mass and other activities at Holy Martyrs of Vietnam parish.

I am going to China to meet up with my wife … she is Chinesse and we plan to return to the US.
I would like to introduce her to the church … is there a group here in Texas that could help me with in getting her started and introducing her to the Catholic Church

I am Chinese, and I am Catholic
We are out there, actually most of my Chinese friends are Catholic. And I used to go to a Chinese Catholic Church when I was little.
God bless you and your journey through RCIA! 🙂

Cool! Good to know you guys are out there! What state do you live in? Do you have a big Chinese community? Almost all of my Chinese friends here are protestant.

Do you know any good sources for getting Catholic materials written in Chinese?

Thanks!

Hi Poetry,

try contacting these folks (see link) to get a copy of Family Catechism written in Chinese - familyland.org/content/Content.aspx?CategoryID=709
These family catechisms are Vatican approved!

Furthermore, they are based in Bloomingdale, Ohio, not too far from you there in Dayton. However, their activities there are predominately English - as their Chinese language materials are for their mission center in China; I’m sure they can put you in contact with their people there. They have centers all over the world.

God Bless,
-G

Well, I’m in Canada =D A lot of my Chinese friends are protestant too…
I’m not really sure, most of my Catholic materials are in English. I do go to a Chinese Christian bookstore sometimes… But I’ll check for you. 👍

Does anyone have any knowledge about the sect called “Fa Lun Gong”? I’ve a Chinese friend who recently converted to this sect and I’m really worried about her. I’ve surfed the web about it but I’m wondering if anyone has any close personal encounters with it?
